So it’s Sunday Night and I am sitting here just chilling… Thought I would post some thoughts and observations… Little morsels to chew on
–The Red Sox are flat out depressing right now, and the Yankees look great… I am glad my hope is in Jesus
–God is at work among the MCC folk. It was just so cool to see people responding to the work of God in their life. In moments like that I am humbled in awe of a great God at work in His people. I wish we had lined up a few more songs just to continue in the spirit of what was going on as folks were really doing business
–I am loving the folks who serve on worship at MCC. We are so blessed to have such talented musicians and vocalists. They have been bringing it full on for weeks now, making God famous. These folks are en fuego. Keep bringing it!!!
–The most surprising thing to me in the transition to Interim is how long it takes me to come down from preaching, and then the subsequent crash. Ask Sara, I come home from Church completely jacked up, Seriously I could run like 10 miles. By night time I am useless. It is weird.
–These summer thunderstorms that we seem to experience regularly now these days remind me of God’s power and His Majesty.
–I was so fortunate to spend a few days with some of the MCC team at Leadership Summit this week. We learned so many great lessons and came back with some steps we need to take both personally and corporately as a Church.
–I cannot wait for the baptisms next week. If you wanna know where it is gonna be at next week. Sunday Morning 9am we are gonna hear the story of God’s movement in the lives of MCC folk and baptize. It’s not too late if you wanna get in on the MCC party. Sunday Night Providence Church of West Chester will be doing the same (so psyched for what God is doing there). Jesus changing lives, people giving their lives to Jesus, and Baptism, does it get any better than that. I don’t think so. Check back next week for pics
–FINALLY, I cannot remember a time in ministry that I have been filled with such hope and anticipation of what God can and I think wants to do, than I have now. Maybe me I am a mad men, a hopeless romantic, an irrational optimist. But I am soooo pumped to see what God has in store. God sized stuff, the stuff that only He can do, the stuff a Church dreams and prays will happen. I was sharing this with the team as we had dinner on Friday night. Let’s be praying people, praying big time, praying all the time. Commit yourselves to prayer. We serve a mighty God who wants to do mighty things through His people. Praying for BIG, BIG things!
